We start this story a sh—-ort time ago….
The story of D.A. LaRue poetry begins a short time ago when a graduate student at University of Buffalo named David Brown first met Professor Dennis Tedlock. Their personal and professional relationship developed and at this time David realized that he needed to separate who he has become from his past. Initially, David found comfort in D.A. Brown when seeking publishers for Six. Rounds. with. a. Gun.Slinger., a response to the famous Gunslinger by Ed Dorn. This identity was abused and eradicated in Six. Rounds. and as such, D.A. became LaRue, the other family name. The name of the family who had raised and cared for him during the hardest times of his life. This site would not exist without Dennis Tedlock, nor would it exist without many LaRues. This is D.A. LaRue poetry. All are welcome here.
